Metering Engineer
The Metering engineer is required to handle general field instrumentation support with specialization of measurement of hydrocarbons
Provide technical expertise for general instrumentation of different types of measurements for hydrocarbon liquids and gases.
Provide technical support for custody measurement systems for liquid and gas applications on the FPSO and its terminal.
Prioritize, plan and schedule maintenance work to comply with current legislation and commercial agreements.
Ensuring that sufficient certified Field & test equipment is available on-site to execute the metering maintenance plans.
Daily monitoring of metering system performance and integrity of data.
Provide technical guidance by providing fault diagnosis and restorative work on metering systems and associated equipment.
Liaise with third party suppliers, customers and both independent and Government regulatory body auditors, coordinating visits to demonstrate system compliance.
Attend audits on the assets and provide audit action responses
Support managing resolution to ship/shore measurement discrepancy, if any
Keep aware of current and new metering technologies and developments and make recommendations for improvements or cost savings as appropriate.
Requirements
Academic Qualification
HND or BSc in Engineering (electrical, electronic or instrumentation disciplines)
At least 10 years of work experience in an Oil/Gas plant or FPSO, with at least eight years handling custody measurement systems.
A thorough knowledge of static and dynamic measurement types.
General instrumentation knowledge, especially on flow measurement types.
Knowledge on operating flow computers.
Preferred Experience
Working on offshore locations (FPSO/platform)
Previous project experience.
Pre-commissioning and commissioning experience
Effective communications
Team player
Able to work in fast paced and demanding environment
