We are seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Endocrinologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team in Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal conditions, and hormonal imbalances. This role requires a dedicated professional with deep expertise in endocrinology and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in line with Nigerian healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders, including complex diabetes cases.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Interpret lab results and imaging studies related to hormonal and metabolic conditions.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, dietitians, and other specialists for integrated care delivery.
- Supervise and mentor resident doctors, interns, and medical officers.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation in line with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous medical education, audits, and clinical governance.
- Adhere to best practices and national health regulations for endocrinology care in Nigeria.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate Fellowship in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training and qualification in Endocrinology (e.g., FWACP, FMCP, or equivalent).
- Must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and hold a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 5 years post-fellowship experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex endocrine conditions in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
